I have been having this issue for a couple of months now. I first noticed it when I got my new phone. So perhaps this is the issue. But I can't tell for certain. Sound plays just fine, but the screen remains blank. I have tried a couple different file formats and uninstalling/installing the newest version of the app.

I have the 2024 Razr + flip phone.  I have noticed that if I close the phone a single frame of the video will show up on the outside screen. But, last I recall, the app freezes up when I try to open the phone back up. I believe I have also updated the phone since the issue started. I am on Android 15.

Any suggestions would help.

I also have a few other lesser issues...

My roommate says her Roku TV has the opposite problem as my android phone. Video but no audio.

I also recently noticed that Firefox will wash our HEVC videos as soon as the onscreen controls fade out. It looks like the brightness levels got turned up on my monitor. But as soon as the onscreen controls come back, the color returns to normal. Chrome did not seem to have this issue and other file formats did not appear to be affected either.

Okay. I'm going to try to do this as best as I can. (sorry for the delay. I've really been dreading getting the logs.) I have attached the logs and hopefully some screenshots. (the screen shots appear to be in reverse order)

Ignore the Roku TV bits and the Firefox bit (for now).

My 2024 Razr + flip phone running Android 15 does not show any video output when using the Android app. The audio seems to play just fine. The menus all work and the overlays show up during playback. It does not seem to be affecting other Android users in my family.

At one time I fiddled with some of the options trying to figure out this problem on my own to no effect. Unfortunately, it has been so long that I cannot recall what I may have done. The problem remains if I try using a different account. And, come to think of it, I may have been experiencing the problem with my last phone as well. My last phone was a OnePlus9 that is no longer usable.

Thank you.

hi @FizzWhistleare you still having an issue with this? Have you updated to Emby Server 4.9 and Emby for Android 3.5.12? Has that helped?

I just updated my phone and server to the newest versions. This had no effect on my device.
