Since my iTunes was based on MP3 files I owned, and have migrated them to my collection in Emby, I am streaming my own music on Emby almost exclusively these days.  I have some playlists with over 1000 songs in them, so I can play them at work on multiple days without repeating.  However, I notice that some songs still seem to come up more often than others.  One thought I had was to add a "customization" page with several options.

1) a radio button to turn the customization page on & off at will - you could even add one for each option below for even greater control.

2) a "slider" that adjusts weight to songs that have not been played in a while (I assume Emby tracks when a song was last played).  The greater the weight, the longer the time since the last playing would push it higher in the mix, and the more recently a song was played, would get pushed down further in the random selection.

2a)  A radio button that would exclude recently played songs until all songs not played yet have been.  This would ensure that the entire playlist got played at least once before playing a song again, even if the playlist were used for short periods on consecutive or multiple days.

3)  A slider that would increase the chance that 2 songs by the same artist would play in a row.

4)  A slider that would weight "favorites" higher in selection  You could also have other sliders for "custom qualities" that could be defined in TAGS, or create a new "quality" definition field(s).

5)  Other sliders based on other Emby users preferences, based on their suggestions (HERE'S YOUR CHANCE!)
