Can you add a "Photo" library type please

There is NO Library type that just shows Photos, photo playlists etc.

Please just add a Photo library type that lets us see our photos. Not along with videos.

In the real world, we don't always have all our files perfectly separated into separate directories. 

eg ONLY photos in one directory

ONLY home videos in another.

In my case, I have a folder that contains home videos / photos / audio that are personal, family, etc. And other applications and people have been accessing those files in their current locations for about 10 years. I appreciate it's not ideal, but here we are...

So for some people (looking at myself here) it would be useful to have Library types that let us only view Photos. Or only view Home videos. Or only view audio.

The ways to view these files can be quite different. In my case, i don't want to see videos along side photos.

It should be trivially easy to just separate the media types for each Library. 

It seems very convenient to me to be able to have three Libraries that all use the same path, but only show videos or photos or audio. This would also avoid the problem with paths that overlap between libraries.

We can already do it it for Movies, TV shows etc. 

It is not impossible for me to re-organise the files into more discrete folders. But that will cause me another set of problems for me, where suddenly videos and photos that are organised under a person, or a location or similar have to be separated into separate directories in a reverse of how they are now.

photos/person

videos/person

Yes, but that won't stop videos showing up in a library called Photos.

Of course if we have the ability to not show Videos in that Library type that would solve the problem.

As it is, we can only exclude photos.

Yes, totally true.

Also, when filtering or sorting, ALL the possible options for Videos also appear in the dropdown lists.

Most of those are irrelevant for Photos. And indeed Photos could have other metadata embedded in them. 

So yeah, simpler to be able to just view one type per Library.
