Hello,

Emby Theater 3.0.20 for Windows is suddenly stuck on the screen yesterday and two hours ago it was still running without any problems.

The version from the Windows App Store runs but I personally find Theater better.

Same issue as above, started this morning. And I also agree with the comment about the new version.

Splash screen hang for me as well. Worked great last night and woke up this morning to this. I tried to reinstall on-top and the installer gave a generic Windows "Installer has stopped working" error.

To add to the above, I get the same error on my HTPC, and my laptop....This is a new issue since this morning.  I've done all the usual stuff uninstalled, deleted old folders, Nothing... I can use the new windows app version, but I really don't like it, sorry.

Can't reproduce, Theater launches fine for me on both Windows 10 and Linux.

Adding in as others have said, I can use the Windows App but compared to Theater it is a poor imitation. For one, there is no Full Screen/Kiosk when using it on an HTPC setup. There is always the header bar showing title, Minimize, Maximize, and Close even during playback.

I am having this too. Even if you leave it open an hour nothing happens. As far as I can tell, when you open it, it tries to connect to 173.230.139.54:443(tv.emby.media) and gets a response. Then I can't catch it doing any other network traffic after that. Accessing tv.emby.media in a browser just brings up Emby Connect

I am getting the same thing now that I had to restart my computer.  

 

But works fine on another computer.

Same here both on Win11 home and pro
Web (server:8096) and iPhone app both work fine

Okay I rebooted my windows VM, yes it's now hanging on the splash. The logs offer no hints.

Bonsoir. 

Idem pour moi, reste bloqué sur l'écran de démarrage. 

Si je fais un clic droit, une icone électron apparaît, m'invitant a taper une ligne de commande. 

Mais cela ne marche pas non plus.

The way to get into fullscreen without the title bar in the windows store version of emby

Just double click in a empty space when emby has loaded, it goes fullscreen!

Still not happy that I have to use the metro app, its broken a lot of my scripts

That isn't a solution because, as I specifically said, this is an HTPC and you don't login to them or use a mouse to interact with it.

I'm having the same issue, this is extremely frustrating. Is there a way to download an older version? And I will make sure to disable automatic updates from now on...

Hey Luke,
Why is ET missing some of the web browser features?
Like: let's say you click on "Cast & Crew" then the down arrow (v) is there to close it up but has been removed from ET
on ET I have to hit ESC multiple times to close it up

I've got the splash screen hang as well.  Was working fine yesterday.  There were no server updates or theater updates.  Is ET phoning home and causing the hang?  Do I have to use the Windows Store version now?

The web client works just fine.

I've also got it hanging following the initial splash screen.  Uninstalled Emby theatre then installed the new app and it's hanging too.  Please fix asap.
