pdclark 8 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 (edited) I’ve reported previously numerous recording errors and when researched in the logs they show 404 errors. Always assumed it’s the IPTV provider. So, as a test I added two additional IPTV providers and unfortunately I still have recording failures - sometimes no recording, and sometimes failing at 5 - 20 minutes after start. Leads me to believe it’s Emby related and not IPTV. Posted below is from one of the provider’s forums today. FWIW As a side note to the reports of the 404 errors. I was still having a few here and there even after making adjustments after the switchover. A new FFMPEG version was released today that seems to have stopped the few 404's or the remote has ended the session errors that I was still receiving. Edited March 24 by pdclark
Luke 39993 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
Kcircuit 3 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Okay, so mabye related to my other thread https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/136945-live-tv-freezes-with-black-screen-after-20-minutes/ But I was also getting 404 errors and issues recording. Although if I'm watching the Live Tv stream on chrome browser and do a record funny enough i dont get any recording errors or 404's. SO i'm not quite sure where the problem stems from.
pdclark 8 Posted March 27 Author Posted March 27 (edited) Hi @Luke, The logs simply report 404 errors (and sometimes 500 or 502, obviously server related). What would be very helpful though is to have the completed recording file names (or additional tag) include the channel name. I am currently using 3 providers and monitoring the recordings. Unfortunately when the 3 have varied recording times, when reviewing the recordings, it’s impossible to determine which provider has the issue (without exploring the logs) because all 3 recordings have the same title. Thanks Edited March 27 by pdclark
