Samsung UE40H6200 - Crashes selecting Subs

Installed the app tonight on my new Samsung TV  UE40H5200

Works flawlessly so far, thrown about 6 movies at it, a variety of MP4 and MKV files, however when you try to select subtitles (press tools, enter, navigate to sub, enter)... Screen goes black with loading in the top right corner for about 15-20 seconds or so. Then crashes back to previous movie page with a connection error... there's some sort of hash code by the look of it... only remains on screen for a few seconds, so I can't write it down, and it kinda blends with the movie details underneath obscuring the bottom half of it.

Is this a know bug/problem?  Is there a fix for it?

Have to say, I love the app, I could easily see it becoming the default way to access my media and allow me to move the mediaserver to another location and make the room even quieter.

Have you manager to solve this? When I select a subtitle, most of time it starts playing, but the screen is very garbled and sometimes it crashes. When not playing subtitles it is perfect.

New TV, so only found out about the app and installed it in the last 48hrs. Testing it out and I found the issue.

If it's any help, sub files were a mix of external srt files or embedded in the mkv container.

Believe it or not that is exactly how it is supposed to work in terms of error handling :D I'd suggest taking a picture of the screen when it pops up and I can see if that helps diagnose - I'll also need the web interface codec information for the file you are playing - if the file has multiple subtitles can you try selecting another one and see if that fails too?

OK... that just prompts me to ask...

What is the web interface codec info and where do I find it?

Of the files I tested, only one had multiple subs, both English... One was full subs and the other just the foreign language parts.

Just open the movie page in the web client /dashboard and select the MediaInfo details.

For example,

Also, if it's of anyhelp...

For playing on the PC's I'm using the shark codec pack + 64bit v4.4.6 with directvobsub. When I have the time I was hoping to move over to just the ffmpg codecs as they're supposed to allow the media remote software control subs... But not had the time to start playing about with codecs.

Hope that helps.
