Hello,

Every time I start Emby app it defaults to 100% volume. This started happening after I switched to the Microsoft store Emby app (Version:2.219.2.0) instead of Emby Theater (3.0.20). It is highly annoying having to reduce the volume every time I start the app. For this reason alone I'd rather switch back. But I can't find the old non MS installer.

Is there any way to fix this? Or at least force it to say 50% volume on startup instead of 100%?

Name:Emby Windows (Microsoft store)

Version:2.219.2.0

Thanks. Following the thread and hoping for a solution. As a side note what happened to the old emby theater app? Windows store app replaced it?

Same thing happens to me.  I ended up reducing my system volume incase I forget to adjust the app volume it doesnt scare the dog.

Also, if I turn off my TV while the app is still running, when I turn the TV back on there is no sound in the app.  I need to close and reopen the app to get the volume to work again.

What happens when you select the TV output explicitly for audio output and/or enable exclusive audio mode?
(you might need to enable exclusive mode for the HDMI/TV output)

That fixed it, thanks!  I feel silly for not trying it sooner but the warning about losing sound in other programs dissuaded me from trying.  But sound in my other apps still works.
