Laovn 3 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Hello, Every time I start Emby app it defaults to 100% volume. This started happening after I switched to the Microsoft store Emby app (Version:2.219.2.0) instead of Emby Theater (3.0.20). It is highly annoying having to reduce the volume every time I start the app. For this reason alone I'd rather switch back. But I can't find the old non MS installer. Is there any way to fix this? Or at least force it to say 50% volume on startup instead of 100%? Name:Emby Windows (Microsoft store) Version:2.219.2.0
Laovn 3 Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Thanks. Following the thread and hoping for a solution. As a side note what happened to the old emby theater app? Windows store app replaced it?
Luke 40020 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 It replaced it yes. It's still on github if you really want it. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/emby-theater-windows/releases

I ended up reducing my system volume incase I forget to adjust the app volume it doesnt scare the dog. Also, if I turn off my TV while the app is still running, when I turn the TV back on there is no sound in the app. I need to close and reopen the app to get the volume to work again.

(you might need to enable exclusive mode for the HDMI/TV output)

That fixed it, thanks! I feel silly for not trying it sooner but the warning about losing sound in other programs dissuaded me from trying. But sound in my other apps still works. 1
