amphyvi 4 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Hi all, I noticed today that my server isn't producing notifications via Discord. I had it all set up using the plugin like so: Channel A: Receive notifications for newly-added content Channel B: Receive notifications for server restarts, etc. I recently renamed my Unraid server; the display name for my Emby server (running on Unraid as a Docker container); changed the domain used to access the Emby server; and more. This was all part of a long-overdue "spring cleaning" project. But... I don't know if any of that is related to the issue. 1. The Notifications section on the left is completely missing. I don't know when it disappeared. This screenshot is from my web browser, but it's missing from the Settings page via every other app I've used too (Android, Windows desktop, etc). 2. As you can see by that screenshot, I tried reinstalling the Discord & Pushbullet Notifications plugins to no avail. I already had the Discord one installed beforehand, and it was working fine - the Pushbullet one was not installed beforehand, I just tried it out to test. Neither of which brought the Notifications section back. 3. I tried accessing the Notifications page manually using an old saved URL in my history from when I last configured them, which did open the page successfully: https://emby.MyDomain/web/index.html#!/settings/notifications.html?userId=r3d4ct3d&serverId=r3d4ct3d But nothing's listed and, as you can see below, I can't add anything. The "Add Notification" blurb tells me to go get a Notification plugin, even though both Discord and Pushbullet were installed at the time I took this screenshot. I also tried removing the "?userID=...&serverID=..." values from the URL but that didn't make a difference whatsoever. The resulting page was just the same. What can I do (If anything) to bring back my Notifications section and re-enable the functionality? Or is this some sort of bug on the latest Docker release? Thanks in advance!
Solution Luke 40096 Posted March 7 Solution Posted March 7 HI, did you check the permissions of your emby user to see what they're granted access to? 1
amphyvi 4 Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 (edited) Thanks for the quick reply! Yep, that's exactly what happened, I feel so dumb I forgot I edited all of my users' permissions when I was busy making changes. I had revoked the Notifications permission from every user... including myself. We're back in business, thank you so much!
