Abnormal Display of Emby Streaming Media Platform Interface on Microsoft Edge Browser

I am unsure why when using Emby on Microsoft Edge browser on my computer, the page displays errors. The mouse hover functionality is not working, and the buttons on both sides of the episode selection and actor list on the video details page are missing. The playback interface also shows the interface of a TV or iPhone. However, Emby works fine on another computer with a Microsoft system using the Edge browser, as well as on other browsers on the same Microsoft computer. I have set the display mode to auto, desktop, and mobile/tablet, but the situation remains unchanged. When setting it to TV mode, it does switch to TV mode.

conclusion:

I am encountering an issue when using the Emby streaming platform on Microsoft Edge browser on my personal computer. Specifically, when accessing the Emby interface, the page displays errors, including but not limited to:

1. **Mouse Hover Functionality Failure**: When hovering over elements such as video thumbnails or buttons, the expected interactive overlays or tooltips do not appear.

2. **Disappearance of Interface Elements**: On video detail pages and actor list views, the buttons located on both sides of the content have vanished, rendering certain interactions and navigations impossible.

It is important to note that this issue is specific to the Microsoft Edge browser on my device. Screenshots of the Emby interface working correctly on other browsers with the same settings are attached for reference.

Below are two that display normally on other browsers

Here's how you could describe your issue in a more technical manner:

Hi, the browser is reporting that your primary input method is touch, and so the Emby web app is adjusting it's layout based on that. Any idea why that might be the case?

您好,浏览器报告您的首选输入方式是触摸,因此 Emby 网络应用正在根据此调整其布局。您知道为什么会这样吗?

Hi, I have checked the touch mode setting in my Microsoft Edge browser on my computer, and it is currently disabled. Initially, I suspected it might be due to the input method, but even after uninstalling the input method, the issue persisted. I am logged in with the same account on my phone, tablet, and computer. Could my phone and tablet be affecting this? I even created a new account to test this, but the result was the same.

I am deeply grateful for your assistance. The issue that had troubled me for two days has finally been resolved. It appears to have been caused by a browser update. I downloaded a portable version of Edge from the web and replaced all the Edge browser files on my computer. Then, I repaired the Edge browser from the application settings, and it worked. Prior to this, I had attempted to repair it from the application settings more than once, but none of those attempts solved the problem. It seems that the repair function in the application settings cannot perform a complete and thorough repair.
