portlandgamer 2 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Greetings! Unfortunately, my 10 year old media server running Windows 10 with a venerable Emby instance died and I am trying to port it (emby) to an M4 Mac Mini running MacOS Sequoia. I was able to recover the backup files and restore from backup. However, I am unable to get the new Mac-based emby to recognize the mapped network drive from my Mac. I get the following error: "There was an error adding the media path. Please ensure the path is valid and the Emby Server process has access to that location." I can navigate to the drive and even drill into individual media folders within the emby, interface for adding new locations, but when I try to add it as a location for media, Emby gives me that error. The location I am trying to add has read/write set to all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Solution portlandgamer 2 Posted February 14 Author Solution Posted February 14 I was able to find the solution. Emby server app needs 'Full Disk Access' enabled under Privacy & Security in System Settings.
