Primary images keep disappearing from most recently added movies

i seem to be having an unrelated but similar issue. i am having the cover art for movies "primary image" disappear from random movies. when scrolling through the library, there wont be a cover for some movies. and if you click on it, the cover isn't there when you open it up. its doing this on the pc, my Samsung tv and the android app. every day it seems like a few more disappear. i check the directories where the images are stored and they are still there. i have changed no settings. i use MCM to fetch all my images prior placing the movies into emby library. ive been doing this way for several years. this issue just became noticed over the last few days
