cast0r 0 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) Hi Planing on building a new NAS and switching away from x86. Can Emby use Arm Immortals G720 MC10 GPU for transcoding? Wich is used on this Board: https://radxa.com/products/orion/o6 On their website, they say it should: AV1 / H.265 / H.264 / VP9 / VP8 / H.263 / MPEG-4 / MPEG-2 video decoder up to 8K@60fps H.265 / H.264 / VP9 / VP8 video encoder up to 8K@30fps Greetings Edited January 18 by cast0r
Neminem 1111 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 With the link you supplied, it looks like it only decodes those formats. There is no info about encoding. It would maybe be a good player / client. If you are looking for a NAS with encoding, then look at something like a N100, with a iGPU for transcoding. Or a Intel i3 or i5 generation 10 or later.

cast0r 0 Posted January 18 Author Posted January 18 They say H.265 / H.264 / VP9 / VP8 video encoder up to 8K@30fps I have the N100 now and it performs well under 4k, but 4k performance is realy crappy.
cast0r 0 Posted January 18 Author Posted January 18 I would order the 32gig version, will never need more for basic SMB and Emby. With the Intel Deesktop ITX boards i had only bad luck with 12 Disks +.
Neminem 1111 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I'm only guessing, but would love to hear what you can get out of it
