LostInTheFold 2 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I have been adding new tags to my movies to create new genres for them to help categorize them. I have some where there are multiple movies in the genre but there is only a single image in each of the 4 panels. This isn't the end of the world, but my kid is complaining, and well I am sure any of you with kids know that the complaints don't stop at "because that is how it is". So, I tried to fix it by deleting the image. Now, I cannot get Emby to regenerate the image again. I have tried to just refresh the browser page, to doing a rescan of the library to waiting 24 hours and letting the server rescan on its own. Nothing has solved the problem, and since these are auto generated images, I am not sure how to trigger a fix. I have tried searching in the forums and the primary suggestion I found was to rescan the library. I apologize if this has been asked before, but I could not find the exact subject or how to resolve the issue, hence I am asking. Thank you so much.
Luke 40022 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Hi, please try refreshing the metadata on the genre and see if that helps.
LostInTheFold 2 Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 Thanks @Lukethat did work. I thought about trying that, however I have a number of movies where the image or other metadata is something I didn't want to have modified. Fortunately this particular genre didn't seem to have anything that would be affected by that. I will have to go into each one and check some of the values. I did need to have it refresh "images" in order to get it to work in case anyone else is looking for the answer and then refresh the browser that was showing the genres. This also solved the problem where only 1 movie was being showed in the 4tile box for the genre. So, all is well. Thanks again. 1
