DragonSkills99 4 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Hey, I tried to use the "Playstate" Filter from within a directory, but it does not work. It does not matter if I try on Android, Windows or Web, the behaviour is wrong on all platforms. When I select "Played" every entry will be hidden. If I select "Unplayed" no entry will be hidden. And yes there are entries fully marked as watched and some not even watched once. @LukeThis is definitely a bug, a dev has to fix Best Regards DragonSkills99
Luke 38804 Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Hi, are you looking at folders? Folders don't have a playstate, so using the filter there may not work as you're expecting it to.
DragonSkills99 4 Posted December 9, 2024 Author Posted December 9, 2024 Hi, yes I am kinda looking at folders, but those folders are immediate containers for tvshow.nfo files, so they kinda are also shows (at least it does look like that), so I would expect to be able to also filter them by playstate. What I'm trying to archive kinda is filtering by path and playstate at the same time (only showing ones in a folder and being unwatched). Tags are also working on them, so why shouldn't playstate? Also negative filtering could come handy in the future (showing all entries that don't have the selected tag for example)
Luke 38804 Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Hi, did you try doing this on the series tab in your library instead?

I don't know how I can filter for items with parent folder "Bought" in the series tab. Is that even possible? If not, then it's no use to me.

Also as far as I know, the data is loaded using the api, and the api will returns folders containing a tvshow.nfo as "Type": "Series", also there are UserData and with that View States available. That the entries show the number of unwatched episodes, even proves that theory further, so this is clearly a bug...
Happy2Play 9140 Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 The default Shows/Movies tabs are automatically collapsed and FOLDER view is not adding additional folder layers. But at the same time I do not have filters on anything that is a FOLDER so not entirely sure where you are.
Happy2Play 9140 Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 (edited) Just like there is absolutely no way to filter any status here. But will say yes those filter options don't work within FOLDER view no matter the proper level at least for TV did not look at any other library type. Edited December 10, 2024 by Happy2Play
Luke 38804 Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Right the filters are only filtering against what is on that level that you're looking at. It sounds like what you need is more along the lines of any item underneath that matches the filter, which is significantly more complex.

Rx is the library and bought a Folder. Within this folder are multiple Series entries, the api is also returning them als series type. But filters on the playstate here aren't having any effect. I'm currently in said folder, so to my understanding it should filter the show entries.
Luke 38804 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 We'll look at improving that filter. Thanks.
