If I let Emby edit my meta data sometimes it automatically fills the field Tags. If I edit de music file with mp3tag the information is not shown in the file under Tags. Why reads Emby this information when renewing metadata and which part of the information is used to fill the field Tags in Emby. If this is identified can I do this as well with mp3tag.

Hi there, can you please provide a specific example?

Did you make sure to run a library scan after editing the file?

Hi, yes I did. By accident I found the field: ContentGroup is read in the tags field of the emby-database.

Hi, Emby does not specifically look for ContentGroup, so I'm surprised to see that. It's possible that ffmpeg is taking it and converting it to something else though I suppose, and then we end up reading that.

Actually, that field has been brought up before specifically with the trailers/themes issues of that field adding mystery tags.

OK yes we are looking for Grouping, so I bet ffmpeg is normalizing the name of the ContentGrouping field into Grouping.
