Web app fails to play some flac medias

Hello,

 

Emby web app on Sony TV, and also on Windows, fails to play specific flac files. The log is attached, look at the timing around 20:3x on Nov17, on both Chrome and Chrome Windows.

When I play the same files on emby app on my Andriod phone, there is no issue and everything works perfectly. When I play on Windows, there only a few files that cannot be played. When I play on Sony TV (web app - browser), there are many files that cannot be played.

Good point. Chrome does not play when I drag the file onto in. However, Firefox can easily play the file and Emby on Firefox can also play the file easily. 

On Windows, it's a Chrome browser issue that needs to be fixed. And I assume it's the same story about the browser on Sony TV since it's also Chrome based.

Odds are it will probably come back to the files themselves as I am having issues reencoding ones that don't drag n drop. @Nimasa

I used the following online service to reencode the files to flac and it fixed the issue. Now the files can be played on Chrome. I agree with you that most probably the issue was within the files, however, the codec that Firefox and other media players (such as Pot Player) are using is able to handle such files unlike what Chrome is using.

Yes similar has been seen before of how reliable the browser players tolerance of files with issues are.  But really don't see them changing anything but you never know.
