So far worse than with HW transcoding/acceleration enabled. We'd have to look at it in detail, but it's possible that with cpu only it just couldn't transcode quickly enough.
audiom3 9 Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 I probably couldn't dig up the logs at this point. But I could disable HW transcoding again. What puzzles me, is I upgraded to an Intel i7-13700K a few months ago. I would have a hard time believing this cpu cant 'keep up'.

audiom3 9 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 @Lukeany progress on the jerky video issue? I can say that I've narrowed it down to the Nvidia ShieldTV app and 1080p H264. I haven't exhausted all testing possibilities, but my daughter is experiencing the same issue remotely (she too has a ShieldTV Pro) as I am locally. Her HD video was not ST TNG or 12 Monkeys, but Stargate Atlantis. All are H264. Both series ripped by myself personally (via MakeMKV) and were done 'right'.
audiom3 9 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 I should have said, we are both direct playing. So there's no transcoding going on.

What version number of the Emby app are you running?
audiom3 9 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 I can't remember as I'm at work but I do know it's the latest version as of yeaterday. And I spoke to my daughter at that time to try and update but she was already on the latest version too.

audiom3 9 Posted January 21 Author Posted January 21 (edited) @Lukesame result. V 3.4.20 20250120_195908.mp4 Edited January 21 by audiom3 Added version info
Luke 40096 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 OK we have a new update of the app beginning to roll out, so once you have that, please let us know how things compare. Thanks. 1
audiom3 9 Posted January 30 Author Posted January 30 @Lukethank you! I will test as soon as possible. To be clear, it's Emby for Andoid TV? That seems to be the better app for the ShueldTV.

The customized/built-in emby apk on the latest Zidoo boxes seem to sync up fine. I know they use their own player but maybe it could help trouble-shoot the issue? If I can do anything to help, please let me know. 1
audiom3 9 Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 @LukeI am visiting my father and got his emby app all sorted. Once I enabled the 'Skip Intro Automatically', the sync issue started happening. We had watched several epusides prior and all seemed fine. I don't think it's a coincidence. 1

We'll do some testing on that. 1
audiom3 9 Posted Monday at 07:59 PM Author Posted Monday at 07:59 PM Hi @Lukeit's been quite a while since I've chimed in... I am not sure if the new (to me, just saw it over the weekend) HEVC encoding feature or if it was something else that changed but things work worlds better now on my devices and my friends ROKU devices. Things load so much faster for remote users and subtitles aren't borking the videos any longer. I just tried Twisters on my Win11 work PC and the opening scenes played flawlessly when earlier this year, it would freeze. So, thank you guys! 1
