Dariusz 21 Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 I had an issue with content from my Movies Library not updating.. i soon realized that one of the 2 paths I had as part of the library was not valid anymore.. Realizing this i added the proper path and media started updating correctly.. Afterwards i realized i added a root folder rather than just the movies folder and therefor I added proper path once again and deleted the incorrect one.. Now when I do a media scan, it is no longer updating the Library with content.. I checked and I can see all the folders within and all user rights are correct.. I started getting SQL errors so I did a reboot on the server.. But still issue persists.. I attached logs before and after server reboot but either way when i do a library scan, for some reason nothing gets updated with the correct part anymore.. Please let me know if there is any info in the logs that might resolve my issue.. thank you. embyserver (4).txt embyserver (3).txt

I'm actually in the process of switching from trueNAS Core to Scale so some of the paths are no longer correct.. I cleaned some of them up last night and gave up before heading to bed.. as of this morning i see the library scan was able to run and complete successfully. It found my current library and imported it as required.. I think all looks good as of now.. thank you. 2

I would suggest of you're going to scale from core to install truenas scale from scratch that way you don't run into any issues you will regret. also i would unhook every hard drive in your server except the boot drive that way it doesn't delete your data, i had that happen on many updates etc in the past with truenas and freenas. so i learned to unhook my data drives and then do updates for a while until that deletion bug was fixed. now if you go to a new os like scale which is completely different than core i would most definitely unhook them.
