RLanger7228 26 Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I happen to keep a separate Excel spreadsheet as a "table of contents" for my collection, with basic summaries, etc (initially established for historical reasons, and I just kept up with it). These summaries include an IMDB reference link to each video. I have some TV documentaries among the movies. These WOULD be found, if they were in a TV library folder, but IDENTIFY will not find them in a movie folder, even if I put in the correct IMDB title reference code (because they are TV and not a movie). If I have given a specific title reference, the data is there. It may be in a different format than movie reference data, but it seems there might be a way to "translate" it so it can be extracted. Not knowing the actual differences or the coding involved in translating data formats, I might be asking to raise the titanic, but it is worth asking if it might be possible. If it IS possible to cross-translate, might it also be possible for IDENTIFY to search cross-references automatically, or at least offer to if no data is found (or in the results section of all searches, in case the results are not what the user was seeking)?
Luke 38491 Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Hi, yes there is room for improvement here for sure. Thanks.
