Where are my recordings?

On my computer, IOS device, etc. There is a Live TV option. When I'm there and click on "recordings" nothing show up. But it's no big deal because under the 3 line "hamburger" menu, there is another section labeled "recordings." My recordings show up there.

BUT on the Firestick, there's only one "recordings" option and the recordings are not there.

Where are they? How can I access them on the firestick?

HI, have you configured your recording folders in Emby live tv setup?

just using the defaults. What should the path be if I want to be able to see the recordings on the Firestick?

I see under settings my Live TV recordings, movies and series folders are all blank.

The only option in the dropdown is to set them to:
/var/packages/EmbyServer/var/data/livetv/recordings

This is on my Synology server install of Emby.

Is this what I should set for recordings, movies and series?

I did find them at the "top" level in the "Recordings" tab next to the "Live TV" tab - so is this Recordings tab different than the recordings you see under this line under Live TV:

Programs.    Guide.    Channels.    Tags.    RECORDINGS.    Schedule.    Series

If they're different that doesn't make sense to me. Can I make them the same? If so, how?

I recently ran into the same thing.  You are right, it doesn't make much sense.

To fix the display in Live TV > Recordings, go to the server dashboard > Live TV > Advanced, then drop the list for "Series recording folder" and should see something like this:

Select it, then Save at the bottom of the page.  I don't know how long it takes for the data to show in the recordings page, but certainly by overnight.

You will also see a movies folder you can configure.

/var/packages/EmbyServer/var/data/livetv/recordings

Do I need to create folders first on the server?

Go ahead and select it, if the default suits you.  Otherwise you need to create a library pointing to the folder you want, then set it in the TV recordings config.

This was the default library, which worked for me, so I just selected it.
