I have two different servers, with Plex when you search for something it searches all the servers you have and brings back the results.

With Emby it just searches the current sever you are in.

I notice this feature was requested back in 2019, is there any update on this?

Many thanks

JC

Hi.  This would basically require this:

Not to say this is not possible for us but understand that how the other guys do this is by controlling your access to those servers through them and, thus, tracking everything...

That topic is not a Feature Request (posted under General/Windows forum and, from what can be seen - didn't get much traction). So you can either consider your own topic as such (and it will potentially gather some support) or lend your support to similar (more encompassing) FR and join/contribute there.

I was purely wondering if the same was possible to replicate what Plex can do in searching all libraries.

Now I've read through other threads and topics I'm satisfied that this isn't possible/ Emby doesn't want to look over your shoulder at all your servers.

Please close the thread.

Thank you.

Hi. It is not impossible that we could find a different way to accomplish this but it isn't something we're currently working on at this time.
