Hello everyone,

I have recently switched to using Emby for all my Media including a large library of photos. Before I go into the feature request I will give some insight to my setup. The feature request will make more sense then.

Current HOME setup:

Samsung TV with the official Emby App installed - This is the main client for movies etc but also used to stream music to a sound system and to shuffle family photo albums on screen. Samsung Phone with official Emby app - This client is used to browse my music library and control the TV using "Play on" feature.

THE ISSUE:

When I am using my phone as a remote to control the music on the TV app, the TV app will jump to the albums which I have selected on the phone. This isnt really a big problem, albeit rather annoying to have the screen flash from screen to screen as I am browsing albums on the phone, it would be nicer to just stay on the currently playing song backdrop. The main issue happens when I have a family picture album on shuffle with music playing in the background. I would like to have the option to change the music without the shuffling photos being disturbed and the TV screen jumping again to the currently browsed album.

THE REQUEST:

Have the option for the TV to stay on the currently displayed screen without the browsing on the phone interrupting what is displayed.

I hope it makes sense for you, and, I hope that I havent overseen a setting which I can change 😉

HI, yes an option to control this is certainly possible. Frankly I'm not even sure we should do this anymore as I'm not sure how many other apps actually do this.

I cannot say for sure either, but, just tried it from Samsung Phone to Emby on OSX running on Safari browser, and, the behaviour was the same with the jumping screens.

An option to turn this behaviour on/off would be very useful.
