Info:

The core module is of emby for kodi next gen is the service plugin. Video, picture and audio modules are helpers and optional and needed when using dynamic nodes.

This is a very early version, several functions not tested yet!
Natve mode barley tested!
Dynamic nodes barley tested!

I recommend a test on a PC etc, but not on the productive Kodi box.

I’m seeing some strange behavior. So say a had multiple versions of a movie regular and mobile version in the same folder at one time. 
 

I don’t have the mobile version any longer only one version in the folder but since I have update to 11 it’s asking me to pick a version on Kodi and it only shows one.

 Version. Kinda weird.

Did you check on Emby's WebUi if the versions are still there (selectable)?

The plugin adds versions if Emby server reports multiple version. Even in 10.X.

Only difference should be, how it's integrated in Kodi.

If 10.X doesn't offer multiselection on the same content, we need to dig deeper.

I checked webUI  only shows one version getting ready to send you a log file. When you click on sync update libraries nothing happens. Unless you quit Kodi.

I need a test case designed. Frankly I never used or even tested the mobile transcode function of Emby.

I think I saw this option in Emby's WebUi context menu, but not sure. Can you elaborate, thanks.

when I say mobile version it just means the movie in a smaller file. So in a folder you might have movie.mkv then movie-mobile.mkv just means a mobile version small file compared to regular version big file

Even movies without multiple versions are not playing back... Something is wrong with movie playback.

Well, if it's not an absolute exotic issue, Emby still reporting those versions to the plugin.

As mentioned, 10.X should also offer selections of those versions. 11.X lists them differently, 10.X only on playback (selection).

Never had the issue with 10 I even re synced the meta data on that movie.

I don't know what Conversions is, but it's empty. 

My skin is Estuary Mod v2 from Kodinerds repo, but the playback problem also occurred with default Estuary. 

Went back to 10.0.47 and every movie plays just fine.

Ok, I'll review the issue with a test account to Kyrunner's server. I hope it's the same issue.

If you are open for it, you could assign me a test account on your server as well (PM).

As long as I cannot reproduce the issue, I cannot fix it.

It's working fine for me so far on the one series I've watched since upgrading to v11. I'll try a couple more shows and post back to confirm.

When Kodi's content selection box opens and there is just a single movie offered to play, that most likely not a bug!

It happens when a movie has extras added.

The selection box  shows if multi versions or extras or both available and is Kodi's default/stock function.

@Kyrunnerreported, there is a setting in Kodi how to deal with multi versions -> play default version...

Info:

There is a playback issue when content has subtitles and one of the subtitles cannot be downloaded. In this case Emby server is stalled and the playback timeouts.

I'll change the timeout limit for subtitle downloads and try to run this task async. Subtitle download (in general) delays the playback start even everything is fine.

So far so good for me except the duration, all versions seem to have the same duration listed. Duration while playing is fine but the listing isn't .
