rfsimoes 1 Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 (edited) Hello everyone. I've been using version 10.0.X from plugin. Everything was working fine. Until it wasn't. I don't know if it was something on version 10.1.X or not. But now I can't. My addon doesn't find my server anymore. Already tried deleting kodi and installing everything again. I have my server connected via ethernet and my shield connected via Wifi. I don't know if this is causing the issue now, but before it worked like this. I attached the logs. I can see that emby detects my tv somehow (it's also connected via wifi): Quote 2024-08-23 00:11:32.946 Info DLNA: DLNA Session created for [LG] webOS TV UK6950PLB - LG TV. Description url: http://192.168.1.69:1801/ Thank you for the help. I don't know if I have to enable anything server-side for this to work. I don't remember if I did it previously. I don't think I did. but still, if I need to check something let me know. kodi.log embyserver(1).txt Edited August 22, 2024 by rfsimoes typos
quickmic 1664 Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 (edited) Well, auto server detection is not always successful and I can see in the log it -> EMBY.emby.emby: Found Servers: [] Could have multiple reasons, Firewall, timeouts what ever. Use manual connection mode. btw, not version specific. Edited August 23, 2024 by quickmic
Solution rfsimoes 1 Posted August 27, 2024 Author Solution Posted August 27, 2024 Hello. The issue was in my firewall. For some reason I got a second embyserver.exe in there with blocked accesses. 1

Many times when I start Kodi, the addon notification says "Emby server offline" even though it is online. Then, I have to manually add server by going to addon -> Add server. Is this what you are talking about 'auto server detection is not always successful '? If yes, then it doesn't work for me most of the time(70%). Could you give me some suggestions if there is something wrong on my end or is this normal ? Thanks. Edited July 11 by alok1

However, not sure it's related to the issue you reported. 2
