davedick 19 Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 (edited) On the Roku, Emby won't automatically move to the next episode (time line shows 1 second remaining). Now playing in the server still shows the episode, even after "home" is pressed on the remote. Tried with Emby on Xbox, and it did automatically move to the next episode. Looks like playback time is longer than video time Edited July 4, 2024 by davedick

There is a lot of discussion about this out here but you don't ever want to do that on a Roku while media is playing. The server will eventually figure out the Roku is gone but that platform doesn't give the app any warning when you press that button. It just kills it. As for the root issue, this is likely a known situation with some content that we are looking into. Can you reproduce it with this same episode?
davedick 19 Posted July 4, 2024 Author Posted July 4, 2024 To clarify, I usually will press back after the video stops (like I described) to go back a few screens (usually to the emby main screen) then I'll push home. I probably can reproduce is, as it looks like it happens with multiple episodes. Would doing a server restart, then watching the video help as far as the logs go?
Luke 39674 Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 Hi, yes and please also follow the instructions to submit a log from the Emby Roku app: Thanks.
speechles 2002 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 (edited) @davedickCan you share that file with us via dropbox, google drive, or similar? Would need the exact file to reproduce your issue then we will know what is causing this. I cannot reproduce with any files I have locally unless transcoding. Yours appears to cause the issue while direct playing. Can you please share with us? Thanks. Edited July 7, 2024 by speechles

That being said, When I made the OP, I used DvdFab 13 to rip and noticed it had a audio/mouth sync issue, so I used MakeMkv to re-rip. Now here's what's interesting, I have two different Roku's 4800x Roku Ultra and 4662 RW Roku Ultra LT. The 4800x doesn't freeze, but the 4662 does.
ebr 15580 Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Are you able to reproduce consistently? If so, can you please do so and follow the instructions to send a log from the app? Thanks.
ebr 15580 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Anyone consistently having this issue, can you test with the latest beta server?
