yocker 577 Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Very sorry for posting this if it's just spam amongst the other tone mapping posts but thought i would add my experience to it. Running Emby 4.8.8.0 on Unraid that i just updates to Unraid 7 beta with the 6.8.12 kernel and running with an Intel Arc A320. Hardware transcoding works no problem but as soon as tone mapping is enabled it reverts to software decoding. Any way to fix this, do i have to wait for an update to Emby or is this solely on Unraid to fix?
Happy2Play 9660 Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Would need to see ffmpeg log but most likely the same issue as all the rest.
yocker 577 Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 (edited) Sorry forgot about that. Edit: Wrong log.. Fixed ffmpeg-transcode-f97f2744-8123-4d1b-a6ba-729d81a3696e_1.txt Edited June 27, 2024 by yocker
Happy2Play 9660 Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 I would say it is related to all the others with OPENCL issues. 03:14:27.833 [AVHWDeviceContext @ 0xfba2c0] Failed to get number of OpenCL platforms: -1001. 03:14:27.833 [hwmap@f3 @ 0xf3c7c0] Failed to created derived device context: -19. 03:14:27.833 [hwmap@f3 @ 0xf3c7c0] Failed to configure output pad on hwmap@f3 03:14:27.835 Error reinitializing filters! 03:14:27.835 Failed to inject frame into filter network: No such device 03:14:27.835 Error while processing the decoded data for stream #0:0 03:14:27.840 [aac @ 0x939600] Qavg: nan 03:14:27.842 Conversion failed! yocker 577 Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 (edited) Yeah, didn't work either. Can generate a log of it if it's of any help. ffmpeg-transcode-43b20834-e9bc-4bcd-b61d-265b266c2292_1.txt Edited June 27, 2024 by yocker
Happy2Play 9660 Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Just guessing here but to you have a Super-T option? But know the devs have mentioned they are looking into this but appear platform specific.
yocker 577 Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 (edited) That option is not available to me. Yeah i saw all the posts about the topic but nobody had mentioned Unraid 7 beta yet so thought i would mention it if it was of any help some how. Edited June 27, 2024 by yocker
Solution yocker 577 Posted June 27, 2024 Author Solution Posted June 27, 2024 I believe i fixed it. Thanks to benoliver999 in the thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=294180 The solution was to add "NEOReadDebugKeys=1 and "OverrideGpuAddressSpace=48" as envs in the docker config. Screenshot of docker config attached. 2
yocker 577 Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 Yet again i forgot to add a log file in case it would be interesting. ffmpeg-transcode-499cf13b-a739-4451-818b-4b03b89ecd4a_1.txt 1
Almighty 11 Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 Should this be moved to the general Emby Server area since this is not the Emby beta version? It's helpful, don't get me wrong, but us beta folks are still stuck on OpenCL issues after this change on 4.9.0.24-4.9.0.26

Thanks.
Luke 41280 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 OverrideGpuAddressSpace has been added on the beta channel. Thanks.
Brudertac 18 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Looks like is still needed? I´m on 4.9.1.80 and had to add this (""NEOReadDebugKeys=1 and "OverrideGpuAddressSpace=48" as envs in the docker config.") to my Unraid Docker Setup. (Glad i found it! )

I don't have my Arc card any more so can't test it but using ""NEOReadDebugKeys=1 and "OverrideGpuAddressSpace=48" made tone mapping look dull and color less on my card. Is that still a problem?

There wasn't much talk about it on this forum but on other forums people reported it being a problem, me included. Just asking because i'm thinking about getting another card to replace the aging Nvidia card i have now. 1
Brudertac 18 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 (edited) I find the Hardware Transcoded Colors better as in Software. Also, i have to use the two Options, without it is not working. (Without it, i get an error that there is no compatible Hardware for Transcoding) Edited November 5 by Brudertac
