Nimasa 8 Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 (edited) I encountered the following two issues on Emby 4.8.8.0 - Adding to favorites shows two instances of a song and removing the song from favorites removes both instances - Playing a file doesn't load the correct name for the song. You have to select the song again to see its correct name. Both of these two issues are shown in the following video taken on an Android phone. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pix77fNK9-AMxWXnF_207BaC-zbkrJoN/ The "favorite" issue is also reproducible on Samsung TV where two instances are added/removed for the same song. The song for "favorite" issue is available through the following link. There is no copywrite or licensing for it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1plp3F1a-wyaVFdmEyf-ICtZwMpnW-OGU/view?usp=sharing Emby Version 4.8.8.0 Emby for Android 3.3.95 Emby for Samsung 1.8.0 Emby server log is attached. embyserver.txt Edited June 25, 2024 by Nimasa inserting the link inside code tags

Luke 39992 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 OK can you try removing the music library from Emby library setup, running a full library scan to clean out the database, and then adding it back? please see if that helps. Thanks !
Nimasa 8 Posted July 1, 2024 Author Posted July 1, 2024 I completely removed the Music library and added it again. The issue with not correctly loading the song names is resolved. However, the issue with favorite song is still persist. I have to add that favorite songs were available again without my marking them as favorites. Server log is attached. embyserver.txt
Luke 39992 Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 @Nimasahow many Emby libraries have you created, and what folder paths are added to each one?
Nimasa 8 Posted July 13, 2024 Author Posted July 13, 2024 I have only two libraries as shown attached.
Luke 39992 Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 @Nimasaafter removing and re-adding the library, what exactly is the remaining issue with favorite songs? Can you please show a screenshot example? Thanks !
Nimasa 8 Posted July 28, 2024 Author Posted July 28, 2024 @LukeI figured it out what it is. There are two instance of the file in the folder, but there is also a bug with Emby that somehow links the two files together. If I make favorite each of them, both are getting favorited and vice-versa, as shown in the following screen recording. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VR4qXsW2-05Q9nQsITKqBTrctx_VnEV1/view Emby server log is attached. Also, the two files are available in the following links for your further investigations to fix it. 4_5976811574977893021.mp3: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FnXvYfSljGOe3uBRQgyFjxWWv8jt_D8k Ba Hame Fargh Dasht (Piano Cover).mp3: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1plp3F1a-wyaVFdmEyf-ICtZwMpnW-OGU embyserver.txt

Luke 39992 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 OK so this is normal then, based on the way user data is stored for songs.
