Is there actually an update to 4.8.8.0 for MacOS 10.13?

Hi –

Did a search but found only older topics for 10.13 with similar issues. My dashboard says an update to 4.8.8.0 is available but when I follow the link as usual for MacOS 10.13 it says 'Not Found.' Is this the end of 10.13 support or is something else going on? Thanks in advance!

HI, 4.7.14 is the last available version for macOS 10.13.

Raising the minimum system requirements is not something we wanted to do, but we didn't have any choice once we updated the server to use a newer version of the Microsoft dotnet runtime.

Anyway you are right about the website. I will fix that link so that it points to the 4.7.14 package.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I'm on 4.7.14 now. Can anything be done about the update notice on the Dashboard? Slightly annoying but not unbearable. My ancient MBA can update to a later OS but I haven't really wanted to bother as I'm contemplating an upgrade soon-ish. Everything seems to be working for my current usage so will probably put it on ignore. Best regards.

It's one generalized update check for macOS, so that would require reworking. So probably not immediately but at some point yes.

Thanks again. I'm just adding it to the list of many nag messages I get because I'm an MacOS laggard 🤷🏼‍♂️ I have Catalina downloaded, so perhaps I'll get motivated to do the update while I debate which new Mac I'm going to get.
