Tmill 3 Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Hello! I downloaded 2.2.19 yesterday on my older iPad Mini 2, which I use exclusively as an Emby player nowadays. The previous version was working perfectly, however the new version when opened will show the Emby splash screen/logo and then immediately go back to the iPad home screen. The app remains open, and if I click it from recent apps it repeats this process without ever loading past the logo screen. I've tried uninstalling the app/restarting the device but unfortunately the same happens. I noticed there was a similar issue posted on here but with crashes at different points, apologies if I should have added this to the same thread but it looked slightly different.

When launching the Emby app, I can see the splash screen as normal. Then when it should move to the home screen it just goes back to the iPad desktop. I've tried uninstalling, restarting etc but still the same. It worked perfectly from 2.2.20 and seems to have reappeared in 2.2.27 Thanks!
tampoon 8 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 same here. pretty similar to the issue to the issue that occurred a year'ish back (assume that was the .19 issue mentioned)
egreenie 0 Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I have exactly the same issue. Hope it can be fixed.
Tmill 3 Posted August 21, 2024 Author Posted August 21, 2024 Hi, just to add I've tried 2.2.28 and the issue still happens 1
Tmill 3 Posted October 7, 2024 Author Posted October 7, 2024 Hi Luke, Has any solution been found? I've tried the latest updates and unfortunately the issue persists

elefof 1 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 (edited) Same problem on my old Ipad Pro 1st gen. last IOS. App starts without problems, after a few seconds up to 1 minute the app crashes, after restarting the app it works. Edited November 21, 2024 by elefof 1
blackcatTN 3 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 The issue with 12.5.7 is still happening. Just updated Emby on an old ipad and now it crashes on launch. I should have known better than to update the app without checking the forums first, the dev teams here seem to do this kind of bug introduction more than now. I learned my lesson, never update the emby until lots of other people have and never update even then unless you search for your OS version in the forums. I won't make this mistake again. Thanks Devs. 1
horstepipe 377 Posted July 4 Posted July 4 same on iPad Air (IOS 12.5.7, MD785LL/A) Any chance this is going to be fixed?
