Newalpost 5
I've just run into a problem whereby the video during playback of MKV movies fades at random times. The audio continues as normal. Pressing pause and then play causes the video to return but then it may fade again at a later time. As a data point I've been watching the complete set of Harry Potter. The first 5 played ok. Then I ran the update that was flagged in MBC. The remaining 3 movies had the problem although times vary for when this may happen. Of course this could just be co-incedence that it happened after the update. FWIW: Windows 7 64bit Shark007 codecs Server v3.0.5395.0 Classic v3.0.224 All HP movies converted to MKV on the same day with the same version of MakeMKV Any ideas anyone? ebr 14903
Sounds like a screen saver of some sort kicking in. Is this on a 360 by chance?
Newalpost 5
Sounds like a screen saver of some sort kicking in. Is this on a 360 by chance? No, a Dell Zino HD - Windows 7 64 Bit. Connect via HDMI to a TV I agree, it does sound like a screen saver kicking in although there is nothing on the screen. You can see where the 'letterbox' video should be but nothing else. ebr 14903
Are you sure it isn't your actual TV? Because we disable all screen savers during playback.
Newalpost 5
It's not the TV screensaver as it's clear when that kicks in which is only when there's a loss of signal. Of course we're just assuming its a screen saver but as I mentioned before the screen is blank not displaying any image of any sort. Playing music through WMC doesn't show any problems. I'll do some more checking such as playing the same movies directly through WMP or MPC. Thxs
