Episode number detection regression in 4.8

Server 4.8.1.0, Windows Server 2022 (21H2, 20348.2322)

After upgrading to the 4.8 series, it seems like there is a regression in how episode numbers are detected.  Specifically, it seems to be overly aggressive when scanning for multi-episode names. 

For example, a file with the following name:

Dragon Ball Z - 01x19 - Defying Gravity (Digitally Remastered) (x264 - 2E253212).mkv 

... makes Emby believe that it is a multi-episode file from episode 19 through 253212. 

As a result, it causes the scan to grind to a crawl, as it tries to get metadata for all those episodes, regardless of whether they exist or not. 

This definitely wasn't the case for pre-4.8. 

Besides renaming all the files, is there something I can do to get the previous behaviour back?
