Subtitles do not search based on series

Sorry to necro a really old post but I'm actually having the the same issue again with the latest few versions of OpenSubtitles. It seems the search is completely ignoring episode information/metadata and only searching based on the file name. Most of my library is organized as \Show name (2000)\Season 1\S01E01.mkv and for any of these files I get zero results on subtitle searches. Movies, and the odd TV show that does have at least the episode name in the title seem to search fin
It appears that any files that are using "S##E##' format will not return OpenSubtitles results, but files that include at least the name of the episode or series title will return results. This doesnt affect Addic7ed as far as I can tell. It's as if the OpenSubtitles plugin does not factor the metadata for the episode and searches exclusaively based on the file name.
For example:
\TV Shows\Berserk (1997)\Season 1\S01E01.mp4 -- This episode will not return any results from OpenSubtitles
