Indexing not initialized on first entry

In MBC I have "Remember Folder Indexing" and when I enter Movies, Music and TV collections it always shows the "all items" view. When I go back to the EHS and return to the collection it will then show the index view which in this case is set to "genre" for all my collections. This happens every time even after exiting MBC or restarting PC. Behavior is consistent across four HTPCs.

Is this a known bug and/or is it being worked on? If not please let me know what logs to provide.

Server version : 3.0.5031.21343

MBC version : 3.0.78.0 B10-17.2

OS: Windows 8, 8.1

Probably an artifact of the complete re-write of indexing for .78 as it was broken after the last server release.  I'll look into it.

My apologies for not responding sooner.

Steps taken in this log:

  1. From EHS screen, clicked TV
  2. No genres appear, click back button
  3. EHS screen, click TV again
  4. Genres Appear

Log

This log is only when clicking TV and no genres appear. Remained at TV collection.

Log

This log is when clicking back from TV collection(no genres appearing) going back to the EHS screen and then clicking TV again, genres appear.

Log

This also occurs for the Music collection but I only provided the logs for TV. If you also need it for Music please let me know.

Those are server logs and the issue is occurring in MBC so I need that log.

Also, please try in the default theme as your exact steps work fine for me.

Thanks for the video.  I cannot explain what is happening.  I see it retrieving genres on both entries to the collection and there are no errors.

Can anyone else reproduce this?
