jabba7621 13 Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I just noticed that when i click the watch trailer button on a movie, it plays a nice 1080p video, but the videos in cinema intros are all terrible quality. unwatchable. not to mention the languages are all over the place. would be nice to implement a way to filter these trailer selections somewhere. language and exclude any 480p or x quality trailers. 3 7
Luke 40026 Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Hi, yes we are working on improving this. Thanks for the feedback.
jabba7621 13 Posted September 24, 2023 Author Posted September 24, 2023 Is there a timeline on this? I'm seeing posts going back on 6 years now on poor quality cinema intros when advertised as HD. It seems at some point it was working for a short time then broke again.

That was solved, and this is a new issue that we are looking into. Thanks.
dnatyss 0 Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 hello. We're 3 months later and trailers quality is 120p if that high so would be nice to know about the progress in that matter. Would highly appreciate accurate support for premium customers who decides to pay for quality service be provided. Trailers functionality is really useful but current resolution was fine 20 years ago. Why simply you cannot add option for user to pick the quality holding auto mode as default one?

Riddler84 54 Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 This whole plugin is a mess imo. The quality is unwatchable, but the worst thing is, that it doesn't care about the language settings. It plays everything in English. I'd like to use it, but I just can't! Also, I think Trailers have to be natively included into Emby. Not as a separate plugin. But that's something for another topic.
kyma 12 Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 Hi Luke Can you say when exactly please?????? Everyone are complaining about this and the only answer we get this is we are working on it !!! I think this issue is not in priority to be fix at all . Cheers
Seger 118 Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 (edited) have probably combined two topics into one, please let us vote everywhere, then it will be a necessary priority Edited January 13, 2024 by Seger 1

Gryzor 22 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Am I the only one who still has this issue?
AngelSing 43 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Although there is already a specific thread on this topic, I’ll take the opportunity to comment here. It would be very useful if the metadata included the option for users to replace the trailer with a custom one. This would be particularly helpful in cases where the default trailer is not the expected one, giving users greater control over this feature.
Luke 40026 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 For those on the beta server, once you've updated to 4.9.0.51, and gotten the trailer plugin update, with the following days after that you'll start to more trailers and higher quality trailers. It is all youtube now. Please note, Emby apps are going to require compatibility updates, so i wouldn't switch to beta solely for this just yet. But if you already happen to run the beta, then please leave feedback in the testing area of the community. Thanks. 2

Can't wait to see this featured after so many years of waiting finally ported into the mainstream. 1

koelner21 3 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Wow.. Miracles still happen, BUT there will also be a possibility to change the language, because in English it doesn't help a bit. Is it still worth going to the beta again now, or how long will it be until the feature will come?

It’s easier now that the harder part is over.
koelner21 3 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 (edited) OK.. Beta is worthwhile for the quality of the trailers, because it is now really respectable. If it comes in German now, it's perfect. Edited May 17 by koelner21 1
koelner21 3 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I installed the beta, but where do you set the language for the trailers, because they still come in English.
