So, i just noticed that my system was saying i was over the device limit… It’s never said that before, even though i’ve always had a lot of devices.  I was subscribed to the monthly additional devices.

I’m not sure what’s changed, but i’ll say this…

it’s pretty damn disingenuous to have my desktop pc count a dozen times just because i upgraded my emby server version.

Hi, those are not your Premiere counted devices. That is just a raw history of connections.

and how is one supposed to be able to tell the difference?

i just deleted 300 “devices” that were all of my admin account and had > 1 month since last active date and were all browsers.

this is clear as mud.

if you’re gonna charge more for something… please remove the obscurity!

software license management is not supposed to be this obscure and obtuse.

i had no issue paying for mine and my family’s devices… but holy hell….

These are just devices connecting to the server. It doesn't mean each one is actually using Premiere features.

You're right, you can't which ones are and it's an area that we can improve on. Currently it is handled automatically internally so that you don't have to manage which ones use Premiere features and which ones don't.

I purchased the additional device licenses 2 years ago... and for some unknown reason, I received this message last week... with no communication from the Emby team.

Then I see I have a warning that my devices are over the limit...

What did I do wrong?

Hi.  How devices are counted is outlined here:

Is there a limit to Emby Premiere?

As for your subscription issue,  I believe you are attempting to purchase the upgrade with a different email address from your Lifetime key.  The purchase system only knows the email provided (by PayPal) so there would be no way for it to tie the upgrade to your key.

So i guess that means I'm stuck never being able to change my primary paypal email address then...

If you have a new email address you'd like to use for Premiere, email billing support with all info.  Please include your Premiere key for validation.  Thanks.

Alright, I sent an email about 6 hours ago, inclusive of my premier key.   Looking forward to resolving this.

Billing support responded to you at 2pm yesterday.  Did you not receive that?
