JrD 19 Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Currently I've been having this issue and haven't been able to find a solution that has fixed it. So I have not been able to get auto collections to work. (Grouping Star Wars, Back to the Future, Rocky films together etc) As on a previous server build I remember that you were able to have movie franchises and series group together. However that was with the Auto Box Set plugin. But the issue is that I have not been able to get collections to work or appear. From what I understand after reading the instructions and some old forum posts, the Auto Box Set Plugin feature has now been added into Emby without the need of the plugin. And that at least to enable this feature you need to go under your library settings and enable the "auto collections from internet" setting, which I did. I then just made it do a library scan and checked to see if there was anything else I should do but that seemed to be about it. At least on the server side. I also do know that you have to enable the show collections within the device your using, which I also did. However besides doing both these steps, my collections have not appeared nor has anything really changed. Is there a setting I'm missing or a step? Is it supported on certain devices only? This is currently using a Windows PC for the Server with a Fire stick for the client. Thanks in advance!

You did all the necessary steps, enabled TMDB meta-provider and enabled Import collection information (also check what is your Minimum collection size setting) - Refresh Metadata on the desired items after enabling Import collection info library option. pwhodges 1814 Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Where are you looking for the collections? The separate tab on the home page can be selected to be shown or not. The grouping of items into their collections on the movie page of a library can also be selected on or off using the three-dot menu at the top. Paul

That was the missing step. Refreshing the Metadata All I had done was just scan library files again but not refresh the metadata. I guess I’d assumed that it was a whole different process that would just clump up movies together through their respective titles. So that a quick library scan would do the trick. Not that the metadata of all the movies would be refreshed to see what was should be with what. But after requesting the metadata refresh the collections are popping up again. Again thank you, I really was really wondering what I was missing or if the feature was removed. Cheers! 1 1
