Hi, guys.

I store all of my backdrops locally, under "backup.*", what can I do to erase the fanart.* files from my server in bulk. I am not looking for a manual process. Maybe I can do this with a script?

Can you give a specific examples of folder file structures, filenames and directory paths.

im a bit confused on your description to your screenshot. Backup.* is that supposed to backdrop.*

or do you you mean backdrop#.ext and remove fanart#.ext?

Cheers

Apologies for not being more descriptive! This is what I'm looking for.

This will be an easy plugin to write.
ImageCleaner.

UI config…

  1. let the user state the prefix of images to remove as text
  2. Allow user to select libraries this should would “clean”
  3. set as a sheduled task so it can be run on a schedule.

what you think? I can knock this up tomorrow at some point, as it’s a destructive plugin please setup a test library, so we can test. I’ll just chick it in tools and utilities section. But maybe allow for other extensions also.

Yeah, that can work! I'll set up a test library now, with ~50 or so items.

Yeah and rename some of your filenames with mixed cased, example… BaCkDRop1.jPG and also jpeg.  I think also adding an extension selector dropdown would be useful, so a user could keep all png’s but destroy jpg and jpegs.

How easy would it be to write a scraper plugin that you can specify a local IP address for?  If someone could handle that part, I'd work on the server side in order to provide scraping different from TVdb.  Too many shows that are wrong on their site are also locked so you can't change them and fixing your own library by hand is a long and grueling task.
