e-charge 6
Afternoon all When my Emby server is recording a live TV show, it seems to write to my storage drive (which a large HDD), bit-by-bit, until the show is complete. I just wondered if there was a way for it to cache the entire recording to RAM, and upon completion, transfer the file to the HDD. Failing that, could this be done using a third party RAMDisk setup? It just seems like a nice idea to be able to reduce the contant flow of drive activity to a short burst once a recording completes. Maybe the same could utilised for transcoding in some way. I have 32GB of RAM in my server, so capacity won't be an issue, and it's only used as an Emby server. Thanks in advance, L
