crusher11 849
I have a movie recorded, but Emby thinks it's an episode so I can't identify it properly. Is there any way to fix this?
GrimReaper 3266
That sounds like the same issue as here:
crusher11 849
No, the recordings folder is mixed media as it should be, and other movies record as movies just fine, it's just this one didn't have any metadata in the guide to say it was a movie and Emby obviously defaults to it being a show. Which is exactly what happened in the other thread, mixed library with single item being identified as show instead of movie as no guide data. On 1/23/2023 at 10:33 PM, Luke said: OK the problem with xmltv is that there isn't a sure fire way to know if something is a movie or an episode of a series. That's why the xml setup screen has options to set the categories based on your guide data to have those interpreted as one or the other.

Not according to an early post, which said the library was a TV show library for some reason. I didn't read any further than that though, because by then it seemed inapplicable. crusher11 849
Okay, I'm still not sure that answers my question though. We know why Emby thought it was a series, but my question is how can I manually override that? I ended up deleting everything except the .ts file, and that worked. But is there a way to do it from the Emby UI?
Luke 36997
Hi, currently you can't other than renaming the file after the recording. It's an area of opportunity for improvement.
