lennartwong 0
I am in the market for upgrading my emby NAS, which is a very dated QNAP TS-251A. I happened to be in Hong Kong, so I want to take advantage of the lower price point here. Right now, I am thinking either the QNAP TS-464 or the Synology DS920+. I am inclined to stay with QNAP since I am familiar with the QTS platform. Also, I am thinking I should be able to just hotswap the harddrives from the old nas to the new nas (correct me if I am being a dumbass here). But, I heard that Synology may be a better choice. Can I get some comments and suggestions here to help make the decision? Thank you very much!
jaycedk 347
Im not sure you can hot swap the drives into a new NAS. I would make a backup of data before hand, just to be sure
RanmaCanada 327
Why a pre-build that will cost you lots of money? Why not just build a low powered PC with an i3? Or do you like the form factor?
