4K files overly sharpened on playback

All lower res files play and look great but 4K play fine but look overly sharp. Noticeable difference with playback of same file with the native LG Photo/Video player with exact same file.

Using the emby app from LG app store and files being served from the same network (Synology 920+)

Premiere lifetime account

Yea what I see here is the Emby app direct playing your video to the LG video player. There is no sharpening being added by the Emby app, and to be honest, there's not really anything we can do to make it more or less sharp when it is direct playing.

If it were transcoding from the server, then that would be different because it's possible the server transcoding could affect this, but this is direct playing the original video as-is. I would suggest going through the LG TV settings.

I personally set the sharpness to 0 and turn off filter effects that the TV has.
