Subtitles while text on screen

I’ve been having issues with Emby LG WebOS and subtitles for several updates (running newest version currently, playback works great otherwise aside from the removal of previous/next episode controls in the most recent version), it used to work great but a few versions ago the app stopped displaying multiple types of text at the same time, what I mean is if there is a sign or other text on screen that has placed subs it won’t show regular speech subs or vice-versa. It also sometimes takes 60+ seconds to start subs where I’ll have to leave it paused, which started around the same update in early 2022.

Anyone know if there is a fix for this or something I can change in sub handling? It’s usually not a big deal but sometimes missing text translations or important speech is a bit annoying.
