Artist Splits Into Multiple Instances

Artist ( ) splits into 4 separate instances for me (for 2 total songs on a single EP). Presence or absence of MusicBrainz IDs makes no difference.  If artist name is set as anything else, songs group properly in album and album groups properly within artist.  Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thanks so much.

Originally, 2017, but the issue's existed through Emby uninstalls and re-installs, library deletions and recreations, file retagging and file/directory renaming, etc.  Thanks.

The issue with this artist was addressed, I just don't recall if it's in 4.7 or the 4.8 beta channel. @Happy2Play do you recall when we last saw this?

Regardless, it will require moving all of the content out of your library, running a scan of all libraries to clean out the database, and then adding it back.

Possibly as there was no AA.

 

created the files with basic info and reproduced.

4 Artists  (Wrong Artistid as there are 2 on provider 2 have first track and two for second track)

2 AlbumArtist  (Same as above one for each album)

2 Albums (each track)

Adding AlbumArtist did not make a difference.

Providing MBZids merged the Album but still issues

Artist doubled on Album

AA each track and 4 artists same as above.

Here you go.  Note I just took two tracks from another album and stripped tags to create these.

Thanks so much for your efforts on all this, gentlemen.  For reference, I have album artist blank on all albums where only a single artist is represented, and this is the only artist that behaves like this for me.
