Can't play slide show in Home videos & photos library

There seem to be 2 issues:

  1. When pressing Play All from a folder in a Home Photos & Videos library, the slide show doesn't start. Another play button needs to be clicked to start the slide show. If Play All is clicked, the slide show should start automatically.
  2. Once the slide show is playing, videos don't play at all. They don't play automatically, and they don't play even when the play button on the video is clicked.

Hi, I see what you mean. Normally when you play a photo, we don't auto-advance, because historically users have not liked that.

But when you click play all or shuffle, those buttons imply multiple so those should just go ahead and autoplay. Thanks.

Did you also notice how the videos don't play either even when clicking the Play button on the video?

@Luke Following up on the 2nd item. Do you notice how videos don't play at all in a slide show?

If you start a photo slideshow and there is a video somewhere in the middle, then you'll get an image of the video to make it fit in with the slideshow. There is currently no way to play the video from there as the photo and video playback presentations are separated but this is something we should look at supporting.

Well it already works in the ATV app so I'll just add it to the list of things that need to be added to the standard app.
