metropical 29
was there a background update last night? I'm on 4.7.1 for BigSur aka 10.13.6. Both the LAN and WAN addresses changed. Normally, the server computer gets shut down in the early am and restarted the next day. But prior to last night, it had not been shutting down as I was updating a b.u. Attached is log. Is there a way that the server can send an email that the IP has changed, even if it can't include the new address? embyserver.txt
Luke 37060
HI there, Emby Server doesn't decide on what your IP's are, it simply reports to you what they are. If they have changed then that means your IP addresses on your system has changed. That's not something that Emby does. If it changes frequently, why not use a ddns? metropical 29
yea, ok that was a dumb statement huh? I guess I had a restart from my provider overnight. I thought I had set up ddns, but I guess I never followed through. Although for the most part, the dns is stable, but yea, might as well. Thanks Luke.
