Using MB classic opening a movie or tv show, VLC opens correctly begins play back.  After some where between 10-30 seconds, in the background this error appears.

"Media Centre Extensibility Host has stopped working."
I have updated to VLC 2.1.0 since the last time I used MB3 classic. The server is 3.0.5031.21343, and  MB classic is version 3.0.75.0 (B10-15.1)

Click back to media center and there is a messege. "The media browser 3 program has stopped responding and you will be returned to Windows Media Center." Can immediatly log back in to Media Browser after selecting it from the menu.

Here are the error details:

Description:
  Stopped working

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    CLR20r3
  Problem Signature 01:    ehexthost.exe
  Problem Signature 02:    6.1.7601.17514
  Problem Signature 03:    4ce77974
  Problem Signature 04:    System
  Problem Signature 05:    2.0.0.0
  Problem Signature 06:    506c18e6
  Problem Signature 07:    1fc1
  Problem Signature 08:    1c8
  Problem Signature 09:    System.Net.WebException
  OS Version:    6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
  Locale ID:    1033

Media Center does not show any new errors or log entrys since June of 2012.

Thanks for the help; this is an awesome set of media tools. :D
(Side question: When VLC is launched this way the M key is locked from any other application and only functions to pause VLC. Not even unpause.)

Is this a new version of VLC?  How is it configured in the external players tab?  Can I please see the MBC log from the session?

Server.log

MBClassic.log

Edit:
Just really sucks to not have information about playback postion going back to the server. It worked great with previous versions of VLC. I could roll back my VLC but this does seem to be something to do with the new version. So I can wait and test any changes you might be able to make.

I guess they changed something.  To eliminate the crash, set it up as a generic player.

I'm not sure when I'll have time to try and figure out what changed and if we can support it.
