Quality Issues

Hello all.

 

I currently have a Plex server set up which connects to two HTPC's from which i play my files.

Due to the lack of user accounts without setting up a PlexPass account, i have been looking at alternatives, MB3 seems to be a good solution but currently all of my videos tend to look poor quality when played through the Media Browser Theater.

 

On the server i have the playback set to "Max Quality" (though i would hope it wouldn't transcode things at all, as both PC's should be capable of playing anything without transcoding)

In Media Browser Theater i have set up the "Max Streaming Bitrate" to be 40 Mbps.

 

 

To test that it was not the video sources, i have played them in VLC, Plex and MBT, and they look fine in VLC and Plex as can be seen in the album (You will need to view fullscreen to see what i am talking about, the lines all seem jagged):

It seems to be a problem with the custom evr renderer; things look fine when you run with madvr enabled.

 

@@babgvant Do you have any idea what causes this? I see it myself, too.

It looks like the video isn't DI properly (is it interlaced?). If you disable the EVR CP does the problem go away?
