pudland 1
I get this error for anything I try play. I attached a couple of logs. IDK if those are helpful. Not entirely sure of what I'm doing. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-b785b6b7-4e0d-4306-9e7a-09b74d1d609c_1.txt
Happy2Play 8138
Don't know this platform but looks like Emby is having issues with file access/media path. 2022-08-28 18:10:23.637 Info Server: http/1.1 GET http://127.0.0.1:8096/Items/File?Id=smb%3A%2F%2Fowner-pc%2FE%2FMovies%2FKids+Type+Movies%2FThe+Addams+Family+(2019)+%5BWEBRip%5D+%5B1080p%5D+%5BYTS.LT%5D%2FThe.Addams.Family.2019.1080p.WEBRip.x264-%5BYTS.LT%5D.mp4. All I can suggest is what has been recommend per other topics. Or wait for dev or fellow MacOS user to comment. On 7/6/2021 at 8:26 AM, Luke said: I see you've added SMB Paths into emby server. What I would suggest instead is mounting the smb share to a local share using the tools in your host OS. Then add that local share path into Emby Server instead. Please let us know if this helps. pudland 1
I'm sorry, I really am pretty ignorant here. I just googled SMB to give you an idea of my knowledge in this area. So the media is on an external drive attached to a Windows 10 machine on my local network. Are you suggesting that I transfer the external drive to the Mac that the server is on OR install the server on the comp running windows?

No you would mount the path on your MacOS so they would appear local. But this is all beyond anything I have done as I am Windows only. It would probably make life easier installing on Windows, but everyone has their own reasons for their setup. In the end it all about the path used when you setup your libraries in Emby. pudland 1
I moved the external HD to the Mac and changed the paths to point to it. Works beautifully now.
