Similar to this on IOS: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/109403-audiobook-tracks-not-marked-as-played-and-no-resume/&_fromLogin=1#replyForm

If I play an audiobook in the android app, the green checkmark is not always transferred to the server, also the timestamp wherer I left in the middle of a track is not sent to the server.

If I use the browser on android everything is fine.

Can someone confirm?

Thanks

Emby Android 3.2.62

Emby Server 4.8.0.8 Beta

(not sure about Android TV yet)

Hi there, I just tested and it seems to be working just fine. Can you please provide a specific example?

Thanks !

Android behavior:

The first screenshot shows that file 1 has been played indicated by the green bar but the green checkmark is missing, currently playing file 2.

The second screenshot shows the same for file 2 while playing file 3.

When coming back to the app in order to continue where I left off the player starts somewhere at file 1.

Player via browser:

After that I reset the status to not played and restested via the browser on android.

Screenshot 3 shows that after the file 2 and 3 has been played, the green checkmark has been set, while playing file 4.

I am not sure why actually the first file did not get the checkmark.

See attached screenshot.

Min resume:0

Max resume: 100

Min resume duration: 5

Note that it works fine with the web browser but not with the app.

Is there some debug I can do on Android?

Thank you for the hint with the library settings. I thought that I configured them properly.

It seems that there is a difference depending if you use the Android player or the web player for the same file:

2022-08-26 16:57:41.130 Info SessionManager: Playback stopped reported by app Emby for Android 3.2.62 playing Einleitung.2 - Final Call. Stopped at 157616 ms

2022-08-26 17:04:13.168 Info SessionManager: Playback stopped reported by app Emby Web 4.8.0.8 playing Einleitung.2 - Final Call. Stopped at 158145 ms

Therefore I changed the setting from 100% back to 99% so now the file is properly marked as complete with the checkmark, and also the other files.

Did you stop playback, or let it run to the end and stop on it's own?
