Actor display issue

Bonjour,

Hello,

I'm having a problem displaying actors on my Emby apps.

Out of several hundred photos of actors, 1 in X appears (except when I click on the actor to do an edit or when I manually update each photo).

I use the latest version of Emby and TinyMediaManager for metadata.

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Hi.  We do not use the ".actors" folder under specific shows for people images because these are "character art" as opposed to a generic image of that actual actor.

Please see: Media Preparation

Thanks for this answer, while searching I saw this on the forum, but even unchecking this option TMM keeps copying in .actors

Try refreshing the metadata on a movie or series and see if that helps pull in images for the actors.

Can't disable .actor - isn't that something to report to tmm? That's not related to emby.

Anyway what metadata fetchers are enabled on the library and in what order?

Did you check the metadata editor to make sure the metadata isn't locked? Tmm might me writing the nfo with lockdata applied. That means you need to manually unlock in emby first if that's the case.

Yes, I will post on the TMM forum for this issue.

But I just realized that Emby "stores" in its configuration the images when I update them by hand (from emby for each actor)

I checked the NFO is not locked.

I found a solution (workaround) I enabled Emby scraping (via TMDB) and refreshed the metadata (added the missing ones), this will write directly to the metadata folder and highlight the photos for me.

That's interesting. Didn't know TMM supported that. Thanks for the feedback.
